I guess I have been too busy to notice that I have been posting the wrong week in my title for awhile now. I started typing Project 365: Week 49 and was like “wait, there are only 52 weeks in a year.” I’m a dweeb, should of been 39. Sorry! I guess I was lost but here they are!

My Halloween Display

image

Sorry for the window screen, this was Mr Blackie hunting for birds sitting next to the pumpkin display. Looked better in person.

Finally cleaned up my flowerbed and planted 3 mum plants.

It was a cloudy night but I could see the Full Moon!

This is my Witches Brew for the Halloween party recipe. I tried it out to make sure it tasted good before hand and it did just a bit strong. I think I will need to tone it down a bit for the party.

Found this at the package store. Haven’t tried it yet but I think it would go great with coffee.

image

Cleaned and organized the liquor storage. I always tell people I am not an alcoholic and one people said “I know, if you were they would all be empty.” On a side note, I keep my cleaning supplies on the other side of cabinet, thus we don’t drink Drano.

When I walked outside for the past few mornings I get a chill that runs down my spine and I know summer is leaving me and Mr. Winter is on his way. I am not gloomy about the changing of the seasons because I am not a summer or winter person per se. Out of the four seasons my favorites are spring or fall. Spring is the rebirth, were everything is coming back to life but fall is the total opposite, it is the dying off of summer but welcoming the upcoming Holidays. I am pleased to welcome the fall this year because it gives me that warm fuzzy sensation in my soul. When I think of fall I think of camping, grill out with our friends, watching football, and the lovely change that occurs in the trees in east Tennessee. However, the main reason I adore the change in the seasons is I know the holidays are slowly approaching.

With fall you have October and with October you have Halloween and I love this holiday! Why? Mainly because it is the only time of the year you can go back to your childhood and dress up in costumes and act crazy and no one cares. Halloweens brings out the haunted houses, corn mazes, and most important the Halloween parties.

Then following October is this its brother November and in November you have Thanksgiving.I truly enjoy this holiday nowadays, primarily because I have starting cooking dinner at our house. No more running here and there, at last we have a holiday we can relax with our family and friends without watching the clock.

When Mr. Winter makes his début in December, you have the Christmas season. This is my all time favorite time of the year for many reasons but the main one would be I love how everyone is in a good and cheerful mood. I enjoy putting up the tree, decorating the house, and wrapping gifts for family and friends.

I always welcome the change in the seasons. It gives you a chance to put the past behind and look forward to what is to come. I just wanted to take the time to say to everyone: Happy fall y’all
